Youth Activities

Online registration is MANDATORY

To register online for youth activities, you must be a Library member and utilize the username and password given to you when activating a user account. Your account must have been activated at least 48 hours before you can register online!  For more information about the online registration procedure, click here or call 514 630 2719.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

  • Tardiness: The place will be assigned to the next child on the waiting list.
  • Cancellation: 24 hours in advance.
  • Parents must stay in the building throughout the child’s activity. The Town takes no responsibility for children left unattended.
  • Children 10 years and under must be accompanied by an adult

MARCELLE FERRON INSPIRED STAINED GLASS

Come and take inspiration from the works of Marcelle Ferron, one of the most outstanding Quebec artists of the 20th century, to create a colourful faux stained glass window!


LIVING IN SPACE

SUNDAY, April 5, 2 to 3 pm
Bilingual activity for 7 to 12 year olds

Come and discover the equipment necessary for the survival of an astronaut in space. As a team, you will have the mission to repair your shuttle’s electrical circuit!


HAPPY EASTER!

SLIME TIME!

The Mad Science slime recipe will be revealed in this ooey gooey chemistry class! You will learn about slime and its basic ingredients in a series of hands-on activities.

Toukouli, a very friendly groundhog, is surprised while crying by Framboise the skunk. She is desperate because she has lost her “minidoux”, magical pompoms which make problems disappear. This interactive show, which focuses on friendship, conflict resolution and the verbalization of small problems, invites children to dance and sing rhymes and rhythmic chants.


A GIFT FOR MOM

Every mother could use a sweet reminder of how much she’s important, so come to the Library to make a Mother’s Day gift that will be as much fun to create as it will be for your mom to receive!
 

DIY: MAGAZINE ART

The glossy pages of magazines can be used for so much more than fashion advice, recipes, and gardening ideas. Once you are done flipping the pages, turn the publications into stunning and unique works of art.
   

ELECTRICITY

Using the Van der Graff generator, you will experiment with different principles related to static electricity! Your hair will stand on end!
