Urban Planning and Environment

The Urban Planning and Environment Department is responsible for managing the tools and regulatory framework allowing the Town to plan for the land and sustainable development of its territory, and to set the rules governing construction and land use.

This department is responsible for issuing building permits and certificates of authorization, conducting inspections and enforcing municipal By-Laws with respect to zoning, subdivision, construction and others.
