Preventative boil-water advisory currently in effect for the following addresses:

• Hymus Boulevard : civic Nos : 16661 to 16681, 16713 to 16715 Boulevard Hymus (odd) and 25 Claude-Jodoin Street

Applicable recommendations:

► Preventative boil-water advisory

A preventative boil-water advisory is currently in effect until further notice (minimum of 48 hours).

Please note that you must boil your tap water (bringing it to a bubbling boil) for at least 1 minute before drinking it, or use bottled water for:

• drinking or preparing beverages;
• preparing baby bottles and baby food;
• washing and preparing food to be eaten raw (fruits, vegetables, etc.);
• preparing food that doesn’t require long cooking time;
• making ice cubes;
• brushing your teeth or rinsing your mouth;
• providing water to pets.

You may use unboiled tap water to:

• prepare food and dishes that require long boiling time for cooking;
• wash dishes in hot water, making sure to dry them well;
• wash clothing;
• take a shower or bath (make sure that young children do not swallow water while bathing).

► Lifting of the preventative advisory

Water samples were taken at various locations and submitted to laboratory analysis. You will receive a new communiqué advising you of the lifting of the boil-water advisory as soon as we receive conclusive results of these analyses (minimum 48 hours).

► Possibility of cloudy or colored water
As this work might have caused disruptions to the water network, you may find that your tap water appears cloudy or slightly colored. Should this be the case, let the cold tap water run for approximately 15 minutes and repeat the process as needed until the water runs clear again.
